Kay Kelley Arnold, vice president of Public Affairs for Entergy Corporation, was awarded the National Audubon Society’s Rachel Carson Award at the Second Annual “Women in Conservation” awards ceremony in New York held June 1 at the Metropolitan Club.

"The Ivory-billed Woodpecker, believed to be extinct, has been found on the Cache Lower White Rivers Important Bird Area.

Participants across the Americas continue the CBC Tradition
During last season's successful and eventful 104th Christmas Bird Count, redpolls flooded southward across the continent,
favorable weather graced participants in many regions, and the post-season focus of analysis was on Boreal Species. In the
105th Count now completed, winter arrived like a lion, and the stars of the show in some regions will be owls of the tundra
and boreal forest. How far south will this invasion reach?
